Newly retired people face various uncertainty. We went through the same experience. Both of us retired from our day jobs. We needed to worry about medical insurances, to take care of Medicare and social security, and to deal with pensions. We also have to take care of taxes.
If you have enough saved up, you may not need to change your life style. Even so, you may consider to move to the place where living cost is lower, other state or abroad.
Other State: Before deciding the state, make sure that the state has good medical facilities, reasonable living cost and better tax treatment. As we get older, our body changes. Soon or later, we will visit a medical facility. You do not want to move to the area where seeing a doctor is hard.

Foreign Country: There are many countries that recruit retired people. If you are fluent with some foreign language, you have choices. For example, if you can speak Spanish, you can go to Central America, South America and Spain. If you can handle Asian language, you can enjoy the good life without worry. There are some countries where English is used, such as the Philippines.
